Despite being Advanced, BRIEF ENCOUNTER`s Eventing career ended prematurely due to an eye injury. However he has proved to be exceptionally popular at stud with breeders appreciating his exceptional conformation and elastic movement.
A former advanced eventer Brief Encounter is now 18 yrs young, This horse is a true athlete! His powerful paces and huge jump are complimented by super limbs, feet and a temperament that is second to none. By the legendary Jumbo he is full brother to Andrew Nicholson’s Badminton ride Henry Tankerville and Joyride one of Tom McEwen’s rides. He also has a full sister Showjumping at top level in the states. Brief Encounter was retired from eventing a good few years ago following an injury to his eye but since has been seen regularly on the hunting field which he relishes! So there you are …. His first offspring eventing FLEETING MEETING has won 20 Foundation Points in his first 4 events at just 5yrs old.
